HERDY’S FRONTYARD ULTRA – 4pm Fri 18 March, 2022

Why enter an event with a 99.6% chance of a dnf? Why run something where at best, there is only one winner?

Why? Because this is a race against yourself, more than against anyone else.

Herdy’s Frontyard Ultra instantly became a phenomenon in 2021 with a new Australian record being created on this circuit around Herdsman Lake. See, runners tackle a 6.71k loop on the hour, every hour until the last person standing. Everyone that times out on a loop or fails to continue on, is a dnf. 24 hours of 6.71k = 100 miles.

But, for those that look a little deeper into this, this event is more about a challenge for yourself. How far can you push yourself to run? How many 6.71k loops can you complete before you ring the bell and resign? 6.71k within the hour is quite achievable for most. But how many times can you go back out there and do it again and again? Can you push through the night, the day, the next night and maybe even the next day too?

Herdy’s Frontyard is the ultimate endurance test of the mind, body and soul, and we invite you to come and tastes how hard it bites yourself

“Don’t be fooled, this isn’t the start of the race……that happened 2 days ago!!!”

Amber Johnston, 7 News

“Way to represent on the world Backyard Stage Australia”

Tracy Outlaw (USA)

“Amazing Race!!! Look out for the Aussies at the worlds this fall!!”

Lazarus Lake (USA) – creator of the Backyard Ultras.

“Unimpressed! Nearly every bloody one of you was a dnf!!!”

Matty Trent (AUS)
